We don't usually carry batteries in our gadgets section. But today, we just had to let you know about Sanyo's new battery technology. The Eneloop is a nickel-metal,hydride battery and unlike other rechargeables-can be used directly out of package without the customary one day charging. An additional advantages is that these cell can be used 1,000 times, and are also says that the eneloop is more powerful than the regular alkaline batteries. In tests, an Eneloop-powered camera managed to click 514 pictures while a standard alkaline battery managed only 117. A two-pack of four is priced at Rs 800 and $18.
